Weight Watchers Update
Today is day 5 and I am happy with how I have done so far. I have been using some of my flex points each day since staying at 27 points a day has been a bit of a challenge but having the extra 35 flex points each week does make it easier.
It really amazes me how many people don’t take advantage of their flex points. After all they are there for us to use and even incorporating them each week is going to help with weight loss. In fact, when I was doing the online program in the past I remember a few members who hit weight loss plateus. It wasn’t until they started eating the flex points that they started losing again.
Tonight’s dinner was really good and I am proud of the way it came out. I finally made my soup by completely tweaking another recipe, adding sausage and pasta and the flavor was wonderful! We have quite a bit left and I am betting that it will taste even better the second day! And the best part is it was under 2 points a cup! I rounded up but if I wanted to get technical, 4 cups of my sausage soup actually came in under 7 points!
Here is the recipe for my zesty sausage soup with pasta. I am not a fan of beans but I bet if you added them it would really make this an even more filling, low point soup. If you have a Sam’s Club nearby you can get the sausage there but if not, hopefully you can find a different brand locally or maybe substitute with Italian turkey sausage.
I am actually compiling all of my favorite Weight Watchers recipes and putting the links on one page. I only have a few there so far but since I am trying a few new recipes each week I am hoping to have quite a library full of healthy recipes in a few months time.
